Season 4 Trailer: Welcome to Season 4 of Genius Womxn

Genius Womxn Podcast Season 4

Welcome back, everyone! I am so thrilled to welcome you to Season Four of our Genius Womxn podcast.

This season is very special for us for several reasons. First, we’re turning one year old. Over 5,000 people have listened to our podcast in this one year, and we are so close to hitting 10,000 downloads. We are so honored to be bringing you interviews with some incredible womxn storytellers and creators. The other reason why this season is special is that you’ll hear a lot more from me. You’ll hear from me on assignment in Austria, and you also get a chance to listen to a workshop I teach inside our membership, The Circle, on The Art of Nailing the Story. Plus, if you’re ready to start acting on some of your ideas, stories, and goals, get ready! There is a very nice surprise coming your way later this year.

In this season, we’ll guide you along the way with practical insights, interviews with our amazing guests, and some very special treats for our listeners.

You’ll hear from womxn like Sarah Munir, a dear friend and a journalist from Pakistan who’s worked at some of the top tech companies in the world.

“Rather than focusing on where people end up, I think we need to speak more about how they got there because I think that’s where the story is. That’s where the journey is. And we just have to be more confident about sharing those things. I think one of my biggest learnings in the past couple of years has been that everything in life is a work in progress at no point are you the ultimate version of what you want it to be. You’re constantly changing, and being okay with that is a big part of growth”

— Sarah Munir, Journalist

We’ve planned a lot of amazing episodes for you this season, and I can’t wait to share all of them with you. I hope you join us on this journey of celebrating incredible womxn creators.

Thank you so much for listening and for creating space for your creative goals to take shape.

[00:00:39] And share my expertise from years of working in this field with publications like National Geographic, Conde Nast Traveler, and others, and going on assignments to places like Mongolia, Rwanda, and California. And we do all that with the hopes of inspiring you, our dear listeners to take action on your goals, reach out to editors, pitch your stories and live braver and bolder.

[00:01:06] This season is very special for us for several reasons. First we're turning one year old. Can you believe it? Thank you so much for all your support and for tuning in every.

[00:03:11] You need to step out of the shadows and into the light to start selling stories. You've always wanted to tell and to find your name alongside the pages of all the publications you've always wanted to be in. And in this season, we'll guide you along the way with practical insights. [00:03:42] Who's worked at some of the top tech companies in the world like Facebook and Twitter.

[00:03:48] Rather than focusing on where people end up, I think we need to speak more about how they got there, because I think that's where the story is. That's where the journey is. And we just have to be more confident about sharing those things, because I think one of my biggest learnings in the past couple of years has been that everything in life is a work in progress at no point, are you the ultimate version of what you want it to be?

[00:04:12] Or, you know, there is no there's no Nirvana or it you're constantly evolving. You're constantly changing and being okay with that is a big part of growth that, you know, I'm here right now. I might not have all the answers because I'm a work in progress, but I'll figure it out and move to the next step.

[00:04:29] And that might be completely different, but I'll figure it out

[00:04:32] then,

[00:04:33] You also get to travel on assignment with me to Austria, where I'll take you behind the scenes of what the day in the life looks like when I'm on the road.

[00:04:43] I started the genius women platform after years of trial and error, where I was building my trouble journalism career, mostly by myself and without any support, it doesn't have to be this overwhelming to do this. If travel and storytelling are your passions. If you have big goals of working with some of the top publications out there, our platform is here for you to provide clarity, knowledge, and next steps for you to build your own path.

[00:05:11] In this space, we have a course called stories hours in action that is opening this November, and that will give you the base knowledge you need to advance in this industry. And we also have a membership called the circle that just three opened for women in travel media who are looking for community and ongoing support.

[00:05:31] You can find more information about both, including some wonderful things. Our students and circle members have said about working with us on our website at genius women.
