[00:00:00] Welcome back everyone. I am so thrilled to welcome you to season four or the genius women podcast. My name is Yulia Denisyuk. I'm an award winning travel photographer writer, storyteller podcasts, or an entrepreneur. Last year, I realized that I have a mission to help other women grow their troubles, storytelling, careers, and go after their dreams and goals by feeling like they are supported, worthy and bold on our genius women podcast, we host in-depth conversations with amazing brave women pursuing their wildest dream.

[00:00:39] And share my expertise from years of working in this field with publications like National Geographic, Conde Nast Traveler, and others, and going on assignments to places like Mongolia, Rwanda, and California. And we do all that with the hopes of inspiring you, our dear listeners to take action on your goals, reach out to editors, pitch your stories and live braver and bolder.

[00:01:06] This season is very special for us for several reasons. First we're turning one year old. Can you believe it? In this one year over 5,000 people have listened to our podcast and we are so close to hitting 10,000 downloads. Wow. This is just so incredible. Thank you so much for all your support and for tuning in every.

[00:01:32] In that one year, we've also been so honored to bring you interviews with some incredible women's stories, ours and creators. Like the amazing Lola I can make Aker strong, who just had her book published in every mirror. She has black or Nicki Vargas, founding editor of unearth women magazine, and now an editor at photo.

[00:03:48] Rather than focusing on where people end up, I think we need to speak more about how they got there, because I think that's where the story is. That's where the journey is. And we just have to be more confident about sharing those things, because I think one of my biggest learnings in the past couple of years has been that everything in life is a work in progress at no point, are you the ultimate version of what you want it to be?

[00:04:12] Or, you know, there is no there's no Nirvana or it you're constantly evolving. You're constantly changing and being okay with that is a big part of growth that, you know, I'm here right now. I might not have all the answers because I'm a work in progress, but I'll figure it out and move to the next step.

[00:04:29] And that might be completely different, but I'll figure it out

[00:04:43] I started the genius women platform after years of trial and error, where I was building my trouble journalism career, mostly by myself and without any support, it doesn't have to be this overwhelming to do this.
